✍️
Your Agreement Is Required By registering for an account or using our services, you confirm that you have read and accepted this Privacy Policy in full. You only need to agree once. If we update the policy, you will be asked to review and agree to the new version on your next visit.

1. About Us

Redeem Service (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is operated by Redeem Innovations LLC, a company registered in the State of California, United States. We operate redeem-service.com — a digital platform providing Coptic Christian spiritual resources including prayers, biblical content, spiritual meditations, saints’ lives, and interactive educational content.

Website: https://redeem-service.com

2. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data under the following legal bases, in accordance with applicable data-protection laws including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

  • Consent — When you create an account, subscribe to our newsletter, or submit a contact form, you provide explicit consent for us to process the data you supply.
  • Contractual necessity — Processing your account data and H5P test results is necessary to provide the services you registered for.
  • Legitimate interest — We process technical server logs and use essential cookies to maintain platform security, prevent spam, and improve site performance. These interests do not override your fundamental rights.
  • Legal obligation — We may retain certain data (such as consent records and donation receipts) where required by applicable law.

You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us (see Section 17). Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

3. What We Collect & Why

✍️ This section requires your explicit agreement. We collect only what is strictly necessary to operate the service.

Account Registration

  • First name, last name, and email address — to create and manage your account
  • An encrypted password — we never store or view your plain-text password

H5P Interactive Test Results

  • Your test scores and results, stored against your account
  • Date, time, and name of each completed activity

Results are visible to you in your “My Results” dashboard and to site administrators for service quality purposes. They are never shared with third parties or displayed publicly.

Bible Reading Features

  • Favourite verses — saved to your account so you can revisit them
  • Highlighted verses — your highlight colours and selections, stored against your account
  • Personal notes — any notes you write on verses, stored privately in your account

All Bible reading data (favourites, highlights, and notes) is stored in our database linked to your account. This data is completely private — only you and site administrators can see it. It is never shared with third parties, displayed publicly, or used for any purpose other than providing the feature to you.

Donations & Payments

Thank you for considering a gift to Redeem Service. Your contribution helps us continue our spiritual resources, community outreach, and media ministry. We are truly grateful for your support.

⚠️ Important: Redeem Service is not a tax-exempt organization; therefore, contributions are not tax-deductible and are non-refundable.

If you choose to donate through our site, your payment is processed securely by Stripe via an embedded form. We do not receive, store, or have access to your full credit card number, CVV, or banking details. Stripe may share with us your name, email, donation amount, and a partial card identifier (last 4 digits) solely for record-keeping. All card details are encrypted and are not stored on our website. See Stripe’s privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy.

WooCommerce Account Data

Our site uses WooCommerce to manage user accounts and donation records. When you register or make a donation, WooCommerce may store: your name, email address, order/donation history, saved payment method tokens (not your actual card number — only a secure token provided by Stripe), and billing address if you provide one. You can view and manage this data from your account dashboard under Orders, Payment Methods, Addresses, and Account Details.

Newsletter — Mailchimp

If you opt in, your first name, last name, and email are transferred to Mailchimp solely for newsletter delivery. See Section 9.

Contact Form

  • Name, email, and message content — to respond to your enquiry
  • Mobile number, church, and country (optional)
  • File attachments you choose to upload

Comments

When you leave a comment we collect your name, email, comment text, IP address, and browser user agent for spam prevention. Your email may be sent as an anonymised hash to Gravatar to retrieve a profile picture — see automattic.com/privacy. After approval your profile picture may appear next to your comment.

Analytics & Technical Data

We use Google Analytics and Jetpack by WordPress to understand how visitors use our site. These services may collect technical identifiers such as IP address, device type, browser information, pages visited, time on site, and approximate geographic location. This data is used solely for analytics and site improvement purposes. Standard server logs may also record your IP address for security and performance.

4. How We Use Your Information

  • Create and manage your account
  • Store and display your H5P test results in your personal dashboard
  • Process donations securely via Stripe
  • Send newsletters and platform updates (only if you have opted in)
  • Respond to contact form enquiries
  • Detect spam and maintain platform security
  • Analyse site usage to improve content and performance
We do not use your data for advertising, commercial profiling, or any purpose unrelated to operating this platform.

5. Who We Share Your Data With

✕ Not sold ✕ Not rented ✕ Not traded

We share limited data only where operationally necessary:

  • Stripe — secure payment processing for donations
  • WooCommerce — account management, order/donation records, and payment method tokens
  • Mailchimp — newsletter delivery, only if you subscribed
  • Google Analytics — anonymised website usage statistics
  • Jetpack / Automattic — site statistics and spam protection
  • Gravatar (Automattic) — comment profile pictures via anonymised email hash
  • Web hosting provider — technical operation of the website
  • Legal authorities — if required by applicable law or court order

Note: if you request a password reset, your IP address is included in the system-generated reset email.

6. International Data Transfers

By using our services and providing your data, you acknowledge and consent to this transfer. We take reasonable steps to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy regardless of where it is processed.

For users in the European Economic Area, transfers are carried out in reliance on Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, or to countries recognised as providing an adequate level of data protection.
